The inspiration for Julia’s ‘red and blue’ shoot came from painting on a canvas. A face is also like a canvas and we wanted to convey this by using bright bold brush strokes on the eyes and neck. We wanted the colours to ‘pop’ so I kept the face an even pale tone and kept the hair simple and slicked backed so it didn’t take any attention away from the make-up. We wanted the end looks to be bold and clean cut.
